Do I have to install anything to use the web downloader?+
No. The downloader box on every page calls our cloud extraction endpoint, which runs yt-dlp on the server and returns the direct download links for your link — no install required. For power features like batch playlists, 8K merges and cookie auth, install the desktop app.
Can I download 4K, 8K and HDR video?+
Yes. yt-dlp reads the full format manifest from each site, so if a source serves 4K or 8K with HDR and high frame rate, you can download it. FFmpeg merges the best video and audio streams into a single file automatically.
Can I extract just the audio as MP3?+
Absolutely. Any video can be converted to MP3, M4A, Opus or FLAC at the best available bitrate, with chapters and metadata preserved when the source provides them.
