Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026

By using yt-dlp online (the “Service”), including the website, the desktop application and the cloud extraction endpoint, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

yt-dlp online is a free, open-source graphical interface for the yt-dlp project, plus an optional web-based downloader. The software is provided under the MIT license. yt-dlp itself is an independent open-source project.

2. Acceptable use

You agree that you will only use the Service to download content that you:

  • own or created yourself;
  • have explicit permission from the rights holder to download; or
  • is in the public domain or licensed for such use (for example, Creative Commons).

You are solely responsible for complying with the terms of service of any third-party platform you download from, and with all applicable copyright and other laws in your jurisdiction. You agree not to use the Service to infringe intellectual property rights or to redistribute content without authorization.

3. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Because third-party sites change frequently, we do not guarantee that any particular site will work at any given time.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maintainers of yt-dlp online shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any misuse of the Service by you or any third party.

5. Trademarks

All product names, logos and brands are property of their respective owners. yt-dlp online is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google, or any other platform referenced on this site.

6. Changes

We may revise these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
